Let it Snow...Colorado 2008

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow...and it did, and did, and did. So much that it snowed 2 feet more than I am tall. We got 48 inches in 48 hours and over 5 feet for the week that I was in Colorado. It was a great trip. We went to Crested Butte and I have to say that I was the best skiier on the mountain. I rode the magic carpet, and then the Big Swing (Peachtree Lift) where I skiied for a while all by myself. The second time I rode up I was a little tired from all that work and fell asleep. Thanks Stacy for getting me down the mountain, just sorry that it was nap time. Anyway I better go for now.

It's Been a Little While...

Well it has been quite some time since I have had a chance to write and fill you all in on what is going on in my life. Things have been real busy. As most of you know I turned 2 last month and the life of a 2 year old is very busy. With all the road trips and time spent swimming and playing at the splash park there hasn't been much time to sit and reflect. Anyway mommy and daddy make me go to bed early so they don't give me much time to write. But I guess Hemingway had the same problem when he was young, but he did some great work when he got older.
Here goes. since my last posting, I had a birthday, went to Alabama to the beach where I spent several days basking in the sun and surf and the kiddie pool at the condo. I am a great swimmer if I don't mind saying so. "My swim all myself," as I like to tell people. Mainly I just float with my life jacket, but hey a girl has to start somewhere. Anyway, the beach was great. It took me a little while before I got used to the sand, but when I finally did i was all over that place. Graceyn and I are getting along real well. Sometimes she gets in the way when I am riding my tricycle in the house, but she rolls pretty quicky and I haven't run over her yet. Mommy calls her a Rolly Polly. Have you seen the new Little Einstein movies? I have both of them and Mimi says this week when the new one comes out she is going to get it for me. In the morning there is supposed to be a new one. It has penguins in it. They look funny when they waddle.
Well guess I better go. I will put some new pictures on here when I get the chance.
Hope to have some more time soon to talk more but for now I better go.

What took me so long?

Well let me start by saying that I am sorry that it has taken me so long to get back to you guys. I know you have all been wondering what happened and why haven't I posted anything in a long time so let me just say that things have been real busy.
I have been pretty busy playing with my new best friend and sister. She is pretty cool. She doesn't do much, mainly just lays there, but I am excited every morning to see her.
I also got a new fort in the backyard. It has 2 swings, a horsey swing, slide, monkey bars, rock wall, and a ladder. It rules! I can hang out there all day.
Last weekend I got to go to Tulsa to see Poppy's family. Friday night I partied hard. I ate at this Mexican food restraunt that had a view of the lake and the highway. I saw turtles and 18 wheelers and never had to leave my seat. The food was good and so was the dancing. The next day I swam in the pool for hours with Chloe and Jax. It was a heated pool and it was sooooo warm that nobody could tell I tee teed in it.
I got to see fireworks two days in a row. On Julythird, we went to Mimi and Papaws house and saw the fireworks from daddy's Uncle Bill's house. I didn't know I had 2nd cousins. They were there and so were Abbie and Jake. The next day I got to go swimming with all of them. The water was kinda cold, but there were so many lake toys I was so happy. Then I got to see the fireworks in our neighborhood.
For those of you that don't have it on your calendar. My Birthday is coming up real soon. Its going to be a Safari Party and I will be 2 years old.
Well that lets you back in to where I am, and I better get back to taking my nap.
Have a great day!

Life as An Only Child...

This morning was the last Friday morning that I will ever wake up on a Friday as an only child. Life sure was good. All of the attention went straight to me. I had 2 closets and bedrooms, when I want to watch Curious George I don't have someone telling me that they want to watch Baby Einsteins, and I have the whole back seat of the car to myself. But all that is getting ready to change. Apparently mommy and daddy go in on Thursday to get the new baby. Something called an induction? So I guess that for the next week I am going to soak it up. All eyes will be on me. The Three Musketeers- all together for one final show. Then life is going to change. I am going to have to show this baby the ropes. There is just so much to learn. I have to teach it colors, how to draw, which sippy cup leaks, how to count to ten, which animals are best to snuggle and which like tea parties, how to get stickers, operate the DVD player, and all about quantum physics. There are just so many job requirements of the Big Sister. I hope that I can work it all in to the schedule.
On a different note, since there are 2 car seats in the car now, I got moved to the widow seat. Do you know how cool that is? There is a whole world just right out that window I never knew existed. I remember hearing mommy and daddy talking and pointing at stuff outside when they were driving. Now I know what they are talking about. Everywhere you look there is something to see. Cows, stores, other people, houses, this is awesome. I thought it was just on TV. But apparently it was there the whole time.
Did I tell you that I am in Music Class. Well I am, and I am pretty good too. I know all sorts of new songs that I sing constantly, I play the egg shaker, and learned some good dance moves. So watch out Simon, Paula, and Randy here comes your American Idol 2022.

"It's NOOOOOOING!!" [translation: its snowing]

This stuff is great! We got somewhere between 4-5 inches of snow over the past 2 days and I had so much fun playing in it. Once again I was like the kid from Christmas Story and was bundled up so much that I couldn't put my arms down, but as long as I had a little momentum I could keep my feet moving and my body from going head first into the snow.

But boy, I had such a good time. I got to stop around in it, watch a snowball fight, warm up a little by the firepit, slide, and the most fun I had was sledding. Daddy and Jake had a snowball fight, Aunt Amy made a snowman, and Abbie always makes me laugh. She got to sled with me a couple times. I also got to sled with Uncle Jess and Aunt Kels, mommy, and daddy. We had so much fun. I love sledding I must have done it a hundred times. I can't wait till it snows again.

Time For Tea...

Well I will make this short and sweet since I have to get back to entertaining. I have a tea party to throw and not much time to talk. But just wanted to show you a little about what all happens when you get to be a big girl and a "socialite." We don't have time just to lay around and watch TV anymore. You have to get plugged into the social scene. So I am having a tea party/ welcome to the new room party and entertaining guests takes more time than I could have imagined. Beary is getting thirsty so I better go, we'll talk later. TTFN (TaTa For Now.)

I Dream in Pink... Part deux.

Well the room is pink and I love it. Thank you to papaw for all the help, daddy couldn't have done it without you. Thanks uncle Jas for the lights- I know daddy's eyes aren't too good and he would have missed a lot of spots. Now if daddy would just get the rest of his stuff out of the closet I would be very happy. A girl needs her closet! I also got a new bed that I am not so sure about. Its just a mattress on the floor. Daddy says its going to be like camping, or like when he was in college and slept on the floor. He also says it will be safer since I roll around alot when I sleep. So good bye crib... Hello Big Girl sleeping.
An another note- this whole potty chair thing is working out really well. Except for one little misshap (sorry mommy), I am doing really well and kinda getting used to it. Watch out world here I come!
Oh and thanks for the comments, keep em coming.
